Laura Salguero is a multidisciplinary artist whose work rotates around the observation and dissection of the human being, whilst studying entomology, the origin of the passions and of the most primal behaviours. The hidden face of our thinking, where the individual sets aside convention to surrender to passion and preternatural fury.

She has the same historical impulse that led to the appearance of the cabinets of curiosities, but trying to then translate that curiosity onto the contemporary world. The objective through creating the collections of “wonderful things” is to try to re-enchant the world, delving into the collective mythical thinking that lies between the real and the chimerical.

Many of her pieces are miniatures in bronze or other materials. The viewer is often provided with a magnifying glass to amplify their curiosity and put them face to face with the indiscreet role as spectator.
